World Gone Mad Dept.

Federal Indian Child Welfare Act—purpose: to keep American Indian children with American Indian families.

A 6-year-old California girl removed from foster family on 3/22/16 to be sent to live with "extended family" of Native Americans in Utah.

Unrelated, dishonest, inflammatory image.
Child has been with foster family four years and cries as Los Angeles County social workers remove her from home of foster family.

Child is 1.56% Choctaw Native American.

This is what is known as looking out for the welfare of children. A result unforeseen by the drafters of the federal legislation. National Indian Child Welfare Association on the job. Lower California courts on board.

Reported in "California girl removed from foster family over her Native American heritage." Reuters, Yahoo, 3/21/16.

There are comments upon comments regarding every aspect of what happened - except for the fact that what happened is stupidity to the nth degree. Child is with foster family, safe warm happy loved. Leave child and family alone.
Disassembly of the .gov agencies that exist simply to provide unnecessary and unwanted 'services' is overdue. Put the bureaucrats at work fixing crumbling infrastructure. If that job doesn't suit them, tough shit.

"Child welfare" is proving to be a landmine. All bureaucracies expand. Mission creep is inevitable, thought the planners and saviors never see that. My gosh! Couldn't a definition have been placed in the law to define "Native American" as someone more than a person with a 100% NA great-great-great-greatgrandfather. Such a person has, under the statute, apparently, 63 non-NA ancestors who are assumed out of existence and one NA in the chart determines this hideous result.

But, back to "child welfare." In Germany, it's a sword at your throat. If you get to rebellious about Muslim immigration and arrogance, they send in the "social workers" to take your children away from you.

The progressives of the early part of the last century acted, in some cases, to put laws on the books that they thought solved specific problems. Now, 100 years later, it's not a question of putting anything into the law but of a brutal, draconian wiping the slate clean of the detritus of 100 years of stupidity, cronyism, theft, lies, and laziness. Come to think of it, that would make a great graphic of the USS America listing badly from the weight of all of that.
