Quickies: The Biggest Lawbreaker Of All

I’ve argued for decades that the rule of law, properly interpreted, would forbid government to break any of the laws even when in “hot pursuit” of some other alleged lawbreaker. Indeed, given that the Constitution is the supreme law, to which all other law is subordinate, for the government to violate any of the rights guaranteed to the individual in the Bill of Rights is utterly, Constitutionally forbidden, and no nonsense about “compelling government interest” can possibly redeem it.

Needless to say, my view is not shared by many, if any, in the corridors of power.

In recent years, with the ascension of Barack Hussein Obama, the fiction that government is the protector of the individual and chief enforcer of the law has taken its death blow. This recent example should drive the last nail into its coffin:

With a second surge of unaccompanied minors from Central America illegally entering the U.S., there is new chatter about a previously obscure Obama administration program.

“The Central American Minors (CAM) Refugee/Parole Program provides certain qualified minors in El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras a safe, legal, and orderly alternative to the dangerous journey that some children are currently undertaking to the United States,” U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services explains....

Parents [whose children] qualify for the program include those with permanent resident status, temporary protected status, parole, deferred action, deferred enforced departure, or withholding of removal. [Emphasis added by FWP]

So under the aegis of the Obamunist Amnesty, a wholly illegal plan specifically designed to guarantee millions of additional voters beholden to the Left, the Administration is also reaching well across our borders to import the families of those here illegally – at taxpayer expense.

Any questions? There’ll be a test on this...in November 2016. Remember well and think hard, America: It might well count as 100% of your final grade.
