Unspeakable tragedy.

"Average_guy" comment on The Guardian’s Sophie Heawood’s angst at her failure to rear a "gender-neutral" daughter (who now likes to wear pink tutus and look at herself in the mirror):
Good luck dealing with the unspeakable tragedy that your daughter likes being a girl. It's a cruel world, for the modern intellectual.
"Sophie Heawood: why family life is like a Slinky." By Sophie Heawood, The Guardian, 10/3/14.

She needn't worry. Once her daughter gets into the public school system there (or is it private school in the UK?), she'll be properly indoctrinated into GoodThink.

"I am not suggesting you pour your children down the stairs – that would end badly –" Well, at least the author had some common sense left. But with the way things are going, we should feel lucky Ms. Heawood didn't try to raise a "gravity-neutral" daughter.
